Homeschool students should make an appointment to meet with the Office of Dual Credit Programs through ConexED.

Dual credit students should meet with their high school counselor to determine:

  • which courses are offered to students at their high school
  • which courses the student needs to meet high school graduation requirements
  • if the dual credit courses the student wishes to take will be recorded on the student’s high school transcript
  • which forms the school counselor or other designated school personnel will submit to the college on the student’s behalf
  • if the student will be responsible for paying tuition for the dual credit courses

Once dual credit students have met with their school counselor, new students should complete an application to Lamar State College Port Arthur using the Apply Texas website.

After submitting an application to the college, dual credit students should wait 2-3 business days to receive an email with instructions for setting up their MyLSCPA accounts.

Any forms not handled by your school district may be submitted here.

First, dual credit students should determine if they need to pay for classes. Check with your school district to see if it will cover the costs associated with dual credit. In addition, Lamar State College Port Arthur waives tuition for some dual credit students.

  • Students who must pay may pay online, in person at the Business Office or by phone.
  • The dual credit tuition rate is $45 per credit hour.
  • Payment for dual credit courses is due one week before classes start each semester.
